For years, fairgrounds and expo centers have been designed by architects working to achieve a look based on a concept offered by forward-thinking individuals from local board-of-directors. Many of these facilities were designed without proper consideration of the livestock equipment needed, animal flow or safety of the livestock and their handlers. Historically, Priefert has been brought in late in a project to resolve design and integration issues, often resulting in costly last-minute changes and the need for custom manufactured or fitted equipment. Customers began to request that Priefert become involved earlier in the process and either consult throughout the project or simply take control of the entire project.
