Priefert Complex Designs' personnel have over 40 years combined experience in building
design and construction management. Additionally, by utilizing resources from our parent
company which offers Priefert Ranch & Rodeo equipment, we gain extensive knowledge of
livestock handling in a variety of facilities. The result: our team is uniquely qualified to accept
the challenges related to designing facilities specifically related to livestock and equestrian
functions. These functions include initial site planning; master planning; architectural layout;
stall, arena/equipment layout and design; structural and architectural engineering as well
as livestock consulting. Our team has earned these functions by accepting rolls as program
manager, structural engineer of record, design-builder and/or livestock consultant.
Priefert Complex Designs (PCD) combines the architectural and structural expertise of our
engineer Glen Calvert with Priefert Ranch & Rodeo's years of experience in equipment for
livestock handling. This combination creates a unique set of skills specifically directed to
enhance design and functional use of specifically tailored multi-purpose facilities.
Glen Calvert's decision to join Priefert in 2008 was essential to the creation of our Complex
Designs division. Since earning his architectural engineering degree in 1991, Glen has gained
extensive experience in design and project management with all aspects of construction - civil,
architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical. His charge at Priefert Complex Designs
has been the development of a team to focus on the design and project management for multi-
purpose rodeo, agricultural and equestrian facilities. Prior to joining PCD, Glen was involved
in a multitude of developments ranging from industrial to municipal and from utilities to

David joined Priefert Manufacturing in 1984 and has extensive experience with a wide variety of livestock handling equipment. From farm and ranch, from multi-purpose event centers to rodeo, from design to layout, David has participated at a multitude of levels in the development of livestock and rodeo facilities. His involvement at Priefert Complex Designs lends years of practical experience in livestock handling and is a key element assisting with design of facilities for rodeos, equestrian venues, and fairgrounds. David's focus is to assist clients in the development of facilities which are functional, economical, user friendly and animal safe.
Livestock Equipment Professional,
Shane joined Priefert Manufacturing in 2007. He worked as an inside sales representative until
2008 when he then became part of the Priefert Complex Designs team. Since 2008, Mr. Johnson
has been our Project Engineer where he has managed our projects from design to completion. In
this time he has handled contract negotiation, purchasing, strategic planning, construction and
project management within several agricultural and livestock facilities. Shane has an advanced
knowledge of design compliance as well as many years of experience in quality control, cost
analysis, and retail. As an avid equine competitor in performance and working cow horse, he has
firsthand knowledge of appealing yet functional equine facilities as well as extensive experience
in livestock handling.
Designer, Lead Draftsman
Wade joined Priefert Manufacturing in 2004 as the lead draftsman/designer. He designed horse and
cattle working equipment until 2008 when he then became part of the Priefert Complex Designs team.
His concentration at Priefert Complex Designs has been the design and drafting of plans for multi-
purpose, rodeo, agricultural and equestrian facilities. He has over 13 years experience developing
structural plans, sections, and elevations working closely with engineers and architects. Prior to joining
Priefert, he was involved in the structural design and drafting of multiple educational facilities across the
United States. Whether it's wood, steel, masonry, or concrete, Wade has the proficiency to incorporate
the essential key elements of design into details for sound development.
